"e-WBL@HOME" Consortium Meeting in Berlin!

In March 2024, the eWBL@HOME project marked a significant milestone with an in-person consortium meeting held on the 12th and 13th in Berlin, Germany. Hosted by BK CON, the event gathered key stakeholders to discuss ongoing achievements and the future of remote work-based learning.

Key Achievements in OER Development for Vocational Training

The Berlin meeting provided an ideal platform to review the considerable progress made in developing Open Educational Resources (OERs). These resources are aimed at supporting employers, trainees, and their families, while also introducing new toolkits for Vocational Education and Training (VET) trainers and teachers. These OERs are tailored to foster effective remote learning environments and facilitate the integration of work-based learning for young professionals entering the workforce.

The meeting participants eagerly discussed the upcoming piloting phase of these toolkits, which is set to launch in the coming months. This phase will be a significant step in refining these educational tools, offering invaluable insights to optimize remote vocational training approaches and expand learning opportunities across diverse sectors.

Strategic Planning and Impactful Dissemination

A major focus of the Berlin gathering was on strengthening the project’s dissemination strategy. Participants examined methods to maximize the impact of the eWBL@HOME project through outreach initiatives. By raising awareness and sharing insights, the project aims to extend its reach, offering valuable resources to the broader VET community and promoting remote work-based learning on a larger scale.

The meeting also included a detailed review of the project’s progress to date, as well as rigorous quality control measures to ensure that deliverables meet the highest standards. Each step in this process aims to support effective learning and provide practical tools for trainers and learners alike.

Future Steps: Completing the Work Plan for 2024

With the project set to conclude in October 2024, participants worked on a concrete action plan for the remaining months. This plan will guide the final stages of development, ensuring that all project goals are met and that the outcomes are well-positioned to serve as long-term resources for work-based learning.
